Basics of pulsology & clinical electronic pulsography

Pulse diagnosis has always played the most important role in Asian medicine in estimating the health status and for recognizing diseases.

The pulse feeling method by fingertip has not undergone special changes for 5 thousand years. Of course it is most difficult to demonstrate pulse diagnosis objectively since the above mentioned method depends on subjective impressions and influences.

However, the recently developed pulsograph (EPG) by Paik and Yoo enables us to register and archivate pulsequalities simultaneously.

Pulsequalities thus determine therapy and therapy results are controlable. Consequently the EPG opens the way to new researches in the field of pulsology in Asian medicine. We are sure that it will be successfully used in European medicine as well.
